The Rules - How to Use the Welcome Card
* The Welcome Card may be used by foreign tourists
and visitors whose duration of stay does not exceed one year,
and by foreign students based in the Northern Tohoku area
*The Welcome Card is valid for the cardholder only, and not
for any accompanying persons
*The Welcome Card is valid for one year from the date of issue
/ signing
*The Welcome Card may be downloaded and printed out from this
site, or cut and folded

*The Welcome Card is only valid at participating
facilities, indicated by the 'Welcome Card Accepted Here' sticker
*The Welcome Card
must be accompanied by your passport or a copy thereof (students
may use their student ID) at the time of use
*The Welcome Card is applicable only to the special discounts
and benefits listed on this site and subject to change without
warning
*The Welcome Card cannot be used in addition to group discounts,
credit card discounts, or other similar discount plans |

The Northern Tohoku Welcome Card is great value!
From April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012 tourist information offices that assist travelers who are visiting Japan from abroad (Visit Japan tourist information offices) in Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, and Akita Prefecture will issue a free Northern Tohoku Welcome Card to customers that present a JR EAST PASS.
If you present this card at participating facilities (hotels and tourist facilities, restaurants and bars, retail stores, etc.) Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, and Akita Prefecture you will be able to receive discounts and other special services.
Please enquire at a Visit Japan tourist information office or check the web site below for details about the facilities that accept the card and the services offered.
