Aomori City - Hakkoda Ski Resort

Great powder, frozen forest snowcaps, and a six-month season stretching from December to May are some of the main attractions at Hakkoda. But you also will not want to miss the spectacular panorama of Aomori available from the top of the Hakkoda Ropeway.

Aomori City - Moya Hills

Long a mainstay with local Aomori skiers for its great day and night skiing, Moya Ski Resort recently reopened as Moya Hills, a complete, four-season resort. Enjoy the romantic lights of Moya Hills' night skiing with someone special.

Ajigasawa Town - Ajigasawa Ski Resort

Powder, glorious powder. Ajigasawa’s six-person gondola takes you to the 921-meter peak and a great view of the Tsugaru plains and the Sea of Japan. Ski down the long trail toward the sea, or thrash the great snows on the north side of Mt. Iwaki into early April. While here, take advantage of the sports shop, arcade, and more at Ajigasawa Prince Hotel, conveniently located right at the base.

Towada City - Towadako Onsen Ski Resort

Owani Town - Owani Onsen Ski Resort

Aomori’s largest ski resort is located in a great hot springs town, and offers skiing for everyone from families to top-level athletes. Extensive snowmaking guarantees excellent, stable conditions and draws large crowds. Enjoy a long stay at the hot springs around the foot of Owani, and get a taste of a good old-fashioned Japanese hot spring resort.

Noheji Town - Makado Onsen Ski Area

Wide natural variation of steep and gentle terrain is a big part of Makado’s appeal. Another great feature is being able to ski all the way down to the parking lot - nice for everyone from beginners to experts. Enjoy a maximum pitch of 17° on Makado’s 2-km wooded trail, or a 360° panorama of Aomori on a sunny day.
