Hachimantai City - Appi Kogen Ski Resort
Two eight-person gondolas and three hooded quads form the core of a lift
lineup giving you access to fabulous snow covering 828 meters of vertical
on 21 trails (the longest of which is an amazing 5.5 km!). Appi is one

Shizukuishi Town - Iwate Kogen Snow Park
Iwate Kogen is the closest ski area to Morioka, with ten trails and night
skiing lit up in a cocktail of light and shadow. This year is a complete

Hachimantai City - Hachimantai Resort Panorama and Shimokura Ski Area
Hachimantai Resort's colorfully romantic lights light up a 6-km
night skiing course, one of the largest in all Tohoku. Enjoy a
bit of Scandinavian fantasy right here in Iwate. Shimokura's great
snow conditions and little wind have long made this ski area a
local favorite. The good ski weather here makes even the end of
March feel hardly at all like slushy spring skiing. Now, these
two great resorts have teamed up, offering a shared lift ticket
giving full access to twice the fun!

Kitakami City - Geto Kogen Ski Resort
Puts the powder and the snow back in the tired refrain of "powder
snow." Among the biggest ski resorts in Iwate, Geto Kogen is the
real thing not only in scale, but also in quality.

Host of the 1993 World Alpine Ski Championships, Shizukuishi is a truly
world-class resort. In addition to the Men’s Downhill course (5
km, 850 meters of vertical drop), there is plenty else for skiers and

snow.
