Kazuno City - Akita-Hachimantai Ski Area

Only 40 minutes from the Hachimantai IC of the Tohoku Expressway, Akita-Hachimantai offers deep powder in winter and spring skiing into May. When you have worked up a sweat playing outdoors, soak in one of the area's many hot springs and relax your tired muscles.

Kazuno City - Hanawa Ski Resort

In addition to excellent downhill skiing, Hanawa is one of the few ski areas in Japan to also maintain a cross-country course and a ski jump! This, along with hot springs to soothe you after a long day, is one of the secrets of Hanawa's popularity with a wide range of skiers, from beginners to professionals.

Tazawako Town - Tazawako Ski Area

Every third Sunday of the month, children’s lift tickets are free, making Tazawako a great place for families! Great skiing and snowboarding terrain variation is serviced by one quad and nine two-seater chairs. Attractions include night skiing, a 3,500-car parking lot, and the local microbrew available right on the slopes!

Kitaakita City - Ani Ski Area
