Towada City - Government Office Quarter
Towada City's government office quarter, known
as Kanchogaidori, has been elected one of Japan's 100 Best Streets.
Spring's contrast of pine and cherry is one reason for this honor.
Surprisingly, some say nights are even better than days, as the
fantastic lighting adds another dimension of beauty to the cherry
blossoms.

Number One Cherry Rows
Begun in 1985, Sakurabayashi Park’s cherry
rows stretch an amazing total of 20 km. The late Apr - early May blooming of
6700 Sargent Cherries is something to be seen.

Aomori City - Gappo Park
One of Aomori’s most
famous cherry blossom spots, Gappo Park is also the main
location for the Aomori Spring Festival. The park’s stand of
cherries sits right up against a beach, making for a sight
rare to behold in all of Japan.
